Call for Workshops

MOBILWARE is dedicated to addressing emerging topics and challenges in various mobile wireless software-related areas. The scope of the conference is the design, implementation, deployment, and evaluation of middleware, operating systems, and applications for computing and communications in mobile wireless systems.

Proposals for workshops are invited for affiliation with Mobilware 2010. Affiliated workshops will be held in conjunction with the conference. The purpose of these workshops is to provide a platform for presenting novel ideas in a less formal and possibly more focused way than the conference itself. They also offer a good opportunity for young researchers to present their work and to obtain feedback from an interested community. Workshop organizers are responsible for establishing a program committee, collecting and evaluating submissions, notifying authors of acceptance or rejection in due time, and ensuring a transparent and fair selection process, organizing selected papers into sessions, and assigning session chairs.

LNICST is reviewed by the same indexing services as Springer Lecture Notes Proceedings including DBLP, ZBlMath/CompuServe, IO-Port, EI, Scopus, INSPEC, ISI Proceedings, the Zentralblatt Math and Google Scholar. Papers of Mobilware 2009 Workshops have been published by Springer.

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit a one-page workshop proposal to the Mobilware 2010 Workshop Chair, Jinchun Xia (xiajinchun[at]gmail.com) Jan 31, 2010. Submissions should be made by e-mail with "Mobilware Workshop Proposal" in the subject header and must supply all the data on the Preliminary Workshop Proposal Format.

The selection of the workshops to be included in the final Mobilware program will be based upon several factors, including the scientific / technical interest of the topics, the quality of the proposal, balance and distinctness of workshop topics, and the capacity of the conference workshop program. Further consideration will be given whether the proposal addresses the technical theme of Mobilware 2010.
